A control room is a purpose built facility to receive alarm events from security systems. If you have a CCTV camera system, this can also be viewed by the control room, so that we can view live or recorded video footage when an alarm is triggered.

The signals generated by the security alarm system send valuable information which is logged at the monitoring station such as when the alarm was turned on and off, who armed and disarmed the alarm, which motion detector was responsible for triggering the alarm and the time of activation.
